Fly Fishing in Patagonia

Traful River Outfitters - Fly fishing in Patagonia
  • Patagonia is the southern region of Argentina, where Traful River Outfitters operates out of 5 lodges accessing 11 rivers and 4 lakes in Northern Patagonia.

  • The fishing season lasts 7 months, from November 1st through May 31st.

When is it best to come fishing? All season long, whether it is during the early season with high water, or late season when days are short and water is low.

We can accommodate you since we have the option of adapting to the changing weather patterns, temperatures, and your fishing preferences to ensure a great trip.

  • Weather conditions during the fishing season in Patagonia are good, with temperatures varying between 55 F and 85 F.

In general mornings are calm but cool, and afternoons windy, with occasional rainfalls.

For the months of November, December and April evenings can be cold due to the afternoon winds, therefore warm layers are suggested.
